ABOUT ME

I have been fishing since I was big enough to hold a rod. When I was young, I would fish small ponds around my home which is where my love of bass fishing began. In my early teens, my parents got into boating and my love of fishing became more focused on saltwater species. As I hit my early twenties, it was back to my real passion of bass fishing, which with the addition of tournament competition, has become an addiction which I hope to pass on to my 4 year old son.

STATEMENT

My mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November 2010 and since then I have had a whole new appreciation for the disease. By the grace of God, aggressive treatment and programs that help provide resources for early detection (which is what saved her) my mom has been cancer free since June 2011. When I first heard about Pink Fishing I knew I had to be a part of their cause, and when Team Pink Fishing was formed I jumped at the chance to do my part to “Reel In The Cure”. My goal as a team member is to spread awareness through the sport I love so that other women and men can have the same chance my mom did at beating this horrible disease. With knowledge of the disease and the passion of our fellow sportsmen/sportswomen, we will make a difference.
