About Me

Amidst the array of roles that I fulfill at the young age of 48, those of a devoted mother and grandmother resonate with me the most, offering profound fulfillment. I take pride in nurturing three sons, aged between 18 and 26, and a 16-year-old daughter. Currently, my two eldest sons serve as active-duty Marines, a fact that instills in me immense pride and admiration - ORAH! The year 2022 marked a momentous occasion in my life as I was bestowed the endearing title of "MiMi" upon the arrival of a beautiful granddaughter. This phase of my life is undeniably remarkable. Alongside my job duties in Human Resources and familial responsibilities, I find solace in caring for my personal feline sanctuary. Despite it being unplanned, I've embraced the role of the quintessential "crazy cat lady" due to the serendipitous influx of feline companions. As a committed volunteer, I collaborate with various organizations, serving as a trapper within my neighborhood and broader community, actively participating in trap-neuter-return programs aimed at effecting positive change—a cause that has ignited a deep-seated passion within me. When not tending to my family commitments or feline duties, I wholeheartedly dedicate myself to Pink Fishing Inc. In my capacity as tournament director and event coordinator, I oversee the orchestration of an annual bass tournament, a pivotal fundraiser for Pink

Fishing.

Occasionally, my significant other lures me away from my bustling schedule for a couples' fishing tournament, where invariably, I reel in the biggest catch.

Statement

In 1999, I lost my best friend Adrienne to breast cancer, just five years after our high school graduation. Additionally, my Aunt Nancy is a breast cancer survivor, and her resilience has inspired me deeply. These personal experiences have fueled my passion for supporting breast cancer awareness and advocacy. Through my involvement with Pink Fishing, I have had the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer, not only in my local community but across the United States. Being part of the journey with one of Pink Fishing's "Reel Inspirations," Debbie Bell, was a life-changing experience that has instilled in me a lasting commitment to contributing to this cause.
