ABOUT ME

I live in St-Zotique Quebec near Lake St-Francis. I was born on a dairy farm. I started fishing when I met my husband at the age of 15 years old. In 1991, I started fishing bass tournaments and have now been competing in bass tournaments for 23 years and it is still my biggest passion. We have a son and he fishes with his dad. Last year I bought my own bass boat. I am now competing in women’s team tournaments, a dream come true.

TOURNAMENTS

I’m currently fishing in a small club with a good friend of mine who is also part of Team Pink Fishing. Next year, we will be fishing in the Northeast Division of Media.

GOALS

To demonstrate and teach the sporting practice of catch and release; it is the future for our kids.
To teach our children that conservation is as much fun as keeping all the fish.
To give hope to women that it is possible to compete in bass tournaments as well as fishing for fun.

I want to show them they can do it, I did and I am afraid of the water. I do not swim but I put on my life jacket and fight my fear. I hope there will be more Women’s Teams in the future.

STATEMENT

I saw Pink Fishing on Facebook and it touched me because I lost my dad to cancer last January. I hope one day that they find a cure so cancer will stop taking people we love from us. I now know that I am now fishing for a cure!
