Alexandria was born in Belleville, Ontario, now living in Bloomfield, just eight minutes from Wellington which is right on Lake Ontario and it also happens to be Alexandria’s favorite place to fish! We go there probably four or five days a week in the summer to fish and enjoy the beach. We also enter a Rapala derby that runs from May 1 to August 28 every year. Alex received 3rd for Perch and 2nd for largemouth bass
Three years ago, Alexandria’s Dad, Jason took Alex to her first KidsCops fishing derby put on by Canadian Tire, Police, and Bob Izumi, she won her first trophy for Biggest Fish and has been “hooked” ever since! We were in the car one day listening to the radio, and an advertisement came on about a toy drive that gives less fortunate children gifts at Christmas time and Alexandria said to us that she’d like to fish to raise dollars to help with the Toy Drive, unfortunately that didn’t pan out but Jay was determined to help Alex accomplish her wish. We started attending as many derbies as we could get to and now Alex fishes for Pink Fishing, Reeling in the Cure which donates to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Alex’s sponsors include Pink Fishing – Reeling in the Cure, Lure Concepts Lures, Pro Advantage Paintball and Hobbies, FisherGirl, Ben McWhinney Outdoors, Spiro Agouras, Ty Guy’s Lures, Linda Berry, Lunkerhunt Lures, Hopkins Carter’s, Blue Sports Outdoors , Saber Six , Big Bear Fishing and Tackle and Patricia Hertendy. Alex is also an Ambassador for Berkley.
But of course, like every 7 year old little girl, Alex has many other interests–she loves to jump on her trampoline, go to the park, play with her friends, ride her 4 wheeler, and she spends a lot of time doing arts and crafts, she’s quite a little artist!! Alex loves spending time with her grandma and papa. She wants to help with a charity and become a member of Pink Fishing Pro Staff. Jason and I are extremely proud of Alexandria and her accomplishments thus far, and will continue to support her in achieving her goals!
